There are two types of patola sarees – Rajkot Patola and Patan Patola. Rajkot Patola is woven using vertical resist-dyeing technique also called single ikat patola while patan patola woven using horizontal resist-dying technique also called double ikat. Both patola are handwoven and made using pure mulberry silk.
